Offering of porridge
The Batu Empat, Kamunting Surau
committee in conjunction with buka puasa, prepared about 300
plastic packs of bubur lambuk udang and daging and
plastic packs of dates for the Muslim and non Muslim residents living
in and around Kampong Batu Empat, Kamunting here today.
The guest of honour was the Deputy
Minister for Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Datuk Tan
Lian Hoe and the other VIP guest was the assistant director,
Cooperative Commission of Malaysia Taiping Abdul Halim Abdul Hamid.
Datuk Tan thanked the chairman
organising committee cum the chief of kampong, Kampog Batu Empat,
Kamunting Mohd Ibrahim Ahmad for inviting her to grace this
auspicious occasion.
She said caring for rakyat is the way
how Barisan does.
She said there were lots of open areas
in every ones yard and they must plant vegetables or rear chickens so
that they would have them on the tables to eat them fresh thus
reducing their marketing expenses.
She also told them not over eat or
waste any food. If they wanted to cook or buy the food just buy what
were needed so that there would not be any waste.
She wished them selamat buka pusa,
Selamat Hari Raya, live a healthy life and always have an heart
for the needy.
